The Reading
Resource Room at the ICA

Filled with reference books, monographs, and contemporary art journals to peruse, the ICA's Reading Resource Room (RRR) is dedicated to making connections between our exhibitions and contemporary culture. With each exhibition, the ICA carries books and, our newest program, artist interviews featured on the flat-screen TV. The community bulletin board is constantly updated with postcards and flyers to keep you up-to-date with what's happening in the arts around the Bay Area and beyond.

Bring your friends!
Now you can reserve the RRR for your community group.
The space is available free of charge during regular gallery hours for book groups, critique sessions or brown-bag lunch meetings. Contact Virginia at virginia @ sjica.org for more information and room availability.

The RRR's growing library now includes a collection of over 350 books from the personal library of Paulette Peterson, a talented artist and long-time member of the local arts community. We are pleased to honor Paulette’s memory by sharing her diverse collection of art books with the community in the spirit of continual learning and art appreciation. Browse through some of our newest titles on your next visit to the ICA!

More artist interviews on the way! Stay tuned as we expand our video library in the RRR.
