Lisa Cavigliano, Membership Manager
As Membership Manager, Lisa gets to spend time with some of the hippest, coolest and most fun arts patrons in the contemporary art world. Her favorite part of her job is getting to use so much of the color ICA-pink! When Lisa was little, she wanted to be a cowgirl, a geologist or Elton John. Now, she wants to be one of the Lovely Ladies in the Dave Matthews Band. Her best quality is her stamp collection and she’s happiest when she’s using her passport.
Sarah Dragovich, Online Content Manager
Sarah’s job is Online Content Manager. Her favorite part of her job is working with artists. When Sarah was little she hated doing math. Now she has a Masters degree in Art History. Her best quality is petting kittens. Sarah is happiest when she is doing yoga!
Alison Gass, Executive Director and Chief Curator
Alison’s job is Executive Director and Chief Curator. Her favorite part of her job is working with the awesome team to think about how to make an Institute of Contemporary Art in San Jose relevant, impactful, and welcoming for the many communities that make up the fabric of the city and for the world beyond! When Ali was little she liked to make art, now she realizes she is much better at creating a platform for people to see art made by other people.
Christine Koppes, Curator and Director of Public Programs
As Curator at the ICA, Christine Koppes’ job is to work with artists she admires. Her favorite part of her job is seeing an installation come to life. When Christine was little, she loved to paint in the nude. Now, she prefers working with clothes on. Christine’s best quality is her cute dog. She’s happiest after finishing a great book.
Marielle Mervau, Curatorial Associate and Visitor Engagement Manager
Marielle’s job is Curatorial Associate and Visitor Engagement Manager. Her favorite part of her job is walking through the ICA during an exhibition’s installation and having dreamy discussions about the ICA’s future. When Marielle was little she wanted a job that surrounded her with artists. Now she has that! Marielle is happiest when she scores an incredible piece of vintage furniture for a steal.
Michael Oechsli, Installation and Facilities Manager
Mike’s job at the ICA is Installation and Facility Manager. His favorite part of his job is driving the scissor-lift. When Mike was little he wanted to be Han Solo. Now he wants to be Han Solo. His best quality is his enthusiasm for collecting comic books. Mike is happiest when eating.
Kirk Walukiewicz, Director of Finance
Kirk’s job is Director of Finance. His favorite part of the job is depositing the generous contributions from our wonderful donors and members. When Kirk was little he wanted to play baseball for the San Francisco Giants. Now he wants to visit every major league baseball stadium (12 to go). Kirk’s best quality is his patience and ability to translate accounting speak to others. He is happiest when he is attending the Blues and Brews Festival in Telluride Colorado.
